Ni Hao from Xi'an!
Our blog is blocked in China so my sister, Molly is posting for us. Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement! Yesterday (10/12), under Chinese law, An Wen Zhuo officially came under our care. So far, so good! Wen is a wonderful boy...laughing, smiling and singing all of the time. His sisters are having a ball and Wen has told our guide how happy he is. Wen keeps asking when we are going home to America.
Additionally, Wen desperately wants to learn English. Yesterday, in just a few short hours Liza taught him colors and how to count to 10 in English. Likewise, Wen taught Liza how to count to 10 in Chinese. Yesterday, while we were discussing school with the guide, Wen told the guide that he attended preschool at the orphanage. When we asked about his interest in attending school in America, Wen responded . . . how about tomorrow?
Today we are off to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
Until next time....
